R.B.I. Baseball 14 batting on Xbox One, PS4 next week

Although R.B.I. Baseball 14 isn't quite the grand slam that the team at MLB Advanced Media might have hoped, it's still a pretty good title based on the nostalgia of the NES classic. Now, after spending months relegated to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, it'll finally be jumping to the big leagues next week. It's coming to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 for $19.99.

R.B.I. Baseball 14 was originally due for arrival in May, but will finally arrive in time for the upcoming All-Star Game, complete with updated rosters. New rookie phenoms like White Sox slugger Jose Abreu and New York Yankees player Masahiro Tanaka will be available for play, along with hundreds of other superstars. The roster update will also make its way to the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions via an upcoming patch.

MLBAM also hopes to introduce online multiplayer to all console versions of the game in the following weeks, possibly mid-to-late July, for no additional charge. An Alumni Pack will also be available for purchase, featuring 60 former MLB superstars "from the earliest days of the R.B.I. Baseball brand."
