Shacknews E3 2014 wrap-up podcast

E3 2014 has come and gone, and we're still processing all that we saw and did at the big show. One way to get it all out in the open is a nice long chat, and you can listen in. Hear four of us talk about some of our favorite games, our disappointments, and our take on who "won" E3.

This is also serving as our first shot at a podcast format, so give it a listen and leave us feedback in Chatty.

How do I make this be on my iphone? iCatcher only sees Weekend Confirmed as Shacknews podcasts.

Right now it's only on Soundcloud, but if we get rolling into making this a regular thing I'm sure we'll set up a more regular feed that iCatcher would find it. I prefer to listen to podcasts on my phone too (I use Instacast). Think of this as sort of a prototype.

I have magically teleported in from the backwoods of Philadelphia to let you guys now that your feedback is greatly desired for this one. We hope to make this a regular thing and we would like to take your honest thoughts and criticisms into account.

Now back into the woods I go!

I know it's the first go so my comments may all be responded to with "duh jerk", but the sound levels are all over the place. I can hear some voices perfectly, some are super bassy (I assume over Skype maybe?), and Sam sounds like she's kind of far from the mic. Robert's voice was right in the sweet spot for the most part. It also needs some sweet drop the bass dubstep intro music. Maybe some Babymetal to annoy people and make me happy.

The content was totally fine and I'd listen to it regularly during my week commuting.

Kinda still butt hurt over not having weekend confirmed anymore, so this kinda makes me annoyed. So I think this is when I stop coming to shacknews

Thanks for the feedback everybody! This was a quick one-off (yes, over Skype), and I noticed the sound levels too. I'm planning on putting together a sort of second prototype/pilot sometime next week, so the feedback is definitely being taken into account. Keep it coming with any other thoughts!

Anyone here disapointed HL3 didn't get shown
because if so you are a sucker for believing it still exists

I like the conversational format much better than Weekend Confirmed's hard segments. I also prefer less "slick" productions; sure, give it bumper themes or something, but gaming-podcasts should just be people talking about games.
