During yesterday's announcement of a PlayStation Now beta, Sony referred to experimenting with a range of prices. In a subsequent press release, the company has detailed just how wide that range will be.

The shorter rental periods will be "as low as" $2.99, while most games will cost somewhere between that price and $19.99. The announcement notes that publishers and developers will be determining their own price points.

The beta has them split between 1, 7, and 30 days.

would make some sense. Roughly equivalent to "try demo, rent from Blockbuster to beat a singleplayer game and return it, rent from Gamefly and play a longer game or get into multiplayer."

No thank you. I was hoping it would be a value add to Plus.

really? if you get to play old games and stream them through the console $2.99 sounds pretty good

it's not bad value for those without the old console. For those with it (and potentially already own that old game) it's not going to allow them to get rid of the old console though and just use their PS4 as their PS3

Old games are stupid. If they were so great we'd be playing them now.
