Last week, Shacknews' Sam Leichtamer attempted to play through League of Legends live on the Shacknews Twitch channel. It didn't quite work out so well, because of some technical difficulties. Now Sam returns to show off the same MOBA prowess that she's demonstrated across a number of LocalBattles TV streams. And by golly, this time, it's going to happen!

The stream begins at 12PM EDT. Catch the stream after the break or head over to the Shacknews Twitch channel. Watch alongside us and be sure to toss your comments into Chatty.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?

I don't, either. Although I've been finding it easy to get into Heroes of the Storm, oddly enough, just because they don't put so much emphasis on the intricacies of the genre.

I want to to try that DC Crisis one, but I never feel like sitting at a PC after work.

That one's pretty decent, actually. The draw for that one is that they're aiming for MOBA gameplay with destructible environments. The result is pretty neat.

Lol, I asked what the difference between LOL and DOTA was because it looks the same and I think I got 30 answers and understood none of them.

And it doesn't help that the shack is mostly dota2 so I'm not sure if we have anyone that can give a decent answer knowing both games

I can do it somewhat objectively. I have over 500 games of Dota 2, was in the OG Dota Squad even before kgargs was playing, and now play primarily LoL.

I like them both for different reasons. LoL seems to me to play a lot faster, with more back and forth between heroes. Because you aren't focused on last hits and denies, you can spend more time in LoL harassing enemy opponents.

Dota focuses a bit more on farming early on aside from a few heroes that roam like BS and SB, and I find that Dota has a greater emphasis on team play. While in Dota you can take a horrible team comp and still win, I don't think a single character has the same ease steamrolling a game from early phases like LoL. A good Akali can singlehandedly snowball and win a game even with terrible lanes elsewhere, for example.

Neutral creeps play a similar role, but in LoL give buffs as well.

Are there any plans for them to stream some classic games or will it always be new releases or current popular titles? For example I really enjoyed seeing Jeff from GB play a bunch of Amiga games.

Can you guys change the overlay so the webcams are on the bottom, in the gaps between the three game panes there? This is pretty common for LoL streams; right now the webcams are blocking the target and teammate displays in the upper left
