Shacknews and Chatty are ready to end May 2014 with the most epic of video game pasttimes: karts. If you think that means Mario Kart 8... you're mostly right. Indeed, Chatty got into Mario's return to the raceway, but the karting goes beyond Nintendo. Arma 3 got in on the kart action, as well, and Chatty wasn't about to pass that up.
Here's a compilation of some of the best Shacknews Twitch highlights for the week of May 31, 2014.

Chatty wasted no time jumping online for Mario Kart 8. To get a taste of the action, I decided to jump in the action personally and accept the challenges of Chatty posters like BioSector, DasCracky, and atom519, as part of the Shacknews Launch Tourney. Also, keep an eye out for a certain Shy Guy, because some of the Shacknews video crew decided to get in the game, too.
Strangely enough, Nintendo did not corner the market on karting action this week. Bohemia Interactive decided to steal some of the Big N's thunder by releasing their own Karts DLC to Arma 3. Our own Shacksquad wanted to see what the fuss was about, so JT led the crew in some races and messed around with the track editing tools, revealing a surprisingly deep addition to the long-time miiltary simulation game.
The WildStar early birds were aching to get into some MMORPG action, but were sadly denied by ongoing DDoS attacks that took down the server. The night wasn't a total waste for BlackCat9, who at least got a chance to practice some Heroes of the Storm. Watch him educate newcomers on the finer points of Blizzard's MOBA, including offering some tips on newer characters like Brightwing.
