Seemed like wirecast was the issue.

This seems like one possible fix.

          http://forum.telestream.net/forum/messageview.aspx?catid=44&threadid=2757

As soon as you hear the program begin to do this, immediately click the headphone mute button in wirecast. (Don't hit the master mute.) Then click it again, to re-enable the headphone audio. When the audio starts back up it will be synchronized again! I have been working on trying to identify this problem, but I'm beginning to suspect that it's wirecast or quicktime. We have all the latest drivers for our system and audio. Since I discovered this little "trick" I'm 100% positive it's in wirecast or quicktime because it resolves the issue. I would guess that something in quicktime is causing a jump from time to time that causes the audio loopback to become out of synch or to start up an echo. The problem does not always manifest itself as a double echo, sometimes it will just "jump" out of synch. But the mute/unmute trick seems to clear it up every time.

          http://forum.telestream.net/forum/messageview.aspx?catid=45&threadid=13704

If you have Wirecast monitoring (headphones icon on the lower right near the live area below the speaker icon) enabled it could be looping back into Desktop Presenter which is capturing the system sound.

I can play a Sona pretty well for being sub-30. People forget she can be pretty aggressive in my level of play.

I play a LOT of Sona - she's ridiculously good. She pokes well, is capable of burst and has decent mobility and ult. My favorite support by far.

I'd be up for it, if the lag to the NA server isn't too big? I usually roll with the Platinum crowd, but also a lot of Bronze and Silver players so I don't mind anything as long as I get to jungle or support :p

All I ever hear about is DOTA and it sounds bigger - but I'm pretty sure LOL is like 10x larger isn't it?
Is that just an asian userbase thing or is LOL huge in the west as well?

      • reply
        May 29, 2014 4:32 PM

        Biggest in all regions.

        League of Legends
65 million unique players per month, 27 million playing every day, 7.5 million on simultaneously each peak day
        490k subreddit subscribers

        DOTA 2
7 million unique players per month
        150k subreddit subscribers

LoL has more players during the busiest time of any given day than DOTA 2 has players for an entire month.

That's full on. Interesting stats though, 65 million unique vs 7, yet 490 / 150k on reddit. That ratio is out and probably is due to the asia factor.

As an aside, I've played both and feel strongly that League's dominance is not a fluke or regional pandering or cause it's "for noobs lol." It's more popular because among other reasons, it has a better feel and control, with well designed characters that are more appealing.

I'm a DOTA 2 fan too - Valve's International tournament was the best esports event of last year and I'm really looking forward to watching this year. But LoL is the better game, and the numbers reflect it.

League of Legends by player numbers: 67 million playing every month, 27 million playing every day, and over 7.5 million playing at the same time during each day’s peak play time.
