Even though a lot of games have been revealed over the past couple of weeks, E3 will still hold some surprises for us when the show takes place this June. However, it looks like one of Electronic Arts' bigger announcements may have been leaked, and it could show a new direction for the Battlefield franchise.
Battlefield: Hardline steps away from the military field in favor of a more police-oriented adventure, and will be developed by Visceral Games, who normally handle the Dead Space franchise. This marks a huge change in development for the series, as DICE usually takes the reigns for the series.
According to the information, the game will feature four soldier classes--Enforcer, Mechanic, Operator and Professional--as well as a variety of new modes, including Blood Money, Bomb Squad and Carrier Assault. Several awards have been leaked as well.
The game is currently slated for release on various platforms, including PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PC, Xbox One and Xbox 360. A release date hasn't been revealed, but EA is likely to have more information at its E3 press conference.
