So Nintendo is preparing a reward for the 100 million milestone in the form of a new Vivillon pattern.

"To celebrate the 100 million Pokémon traded via the GTS, the Fancy Pattern Vivillon will soon be available!" reads the announcement on the Pokémon website. "Currently, about 90 million Pokémon have been traded worldwide. Once we reach 100 million, you'll be able to receive Fancy Pattern Vivillon via a special distribution event. So we're calling on everyone to keep trading so we hit that huge milestone! Once the goal is reached, check back at Pokemon.com to find out how to get the Fancy Pattern Vivillon into your Pokémon X or Pokémon Y game."

The Fancy Pattern Vivillon's differences are mainly in its wings, with numerous patterns available all around the world. Bulbapedia has a full collection of the Bug/Flying-type Vivillon's patterns, many of which are determined by a region's climate. However, the Fancy Pattern Vivillon will be available to all regions once the 100 million trade milestone is reached.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
