Most of you guys probably remember Soldier Of Fortune getting screwed up in Canada with an x-rating (Keeping anyone under 18 from being able to get the game) Well hairytesticles sent in this link with word that Activision is filing an appeal in court instead of just rolling over and taking it.

"The action of the Film Classification board undermines consumers' rights of freedom and choice of expression and sets a precedent for government censorship," the California-based Activision said in a statement released yesterday.

And sure, Activision is fighting a rating, which seems stupid an unnecessary, but the rating in question (X, was it?) is extremely prohibitive and would certainly damage sales/profits. The game would only be sold in stores like 'Zeke's House of Illegality'.

More censorship: The MPAA gave that new independent movie, "Saving Grace," an R-rating simply because marijuana (a bad, bad, evil drug!!!) was grown. Otherwise this movie would have been rated PG ... no violence, no sex, no nothing... but it gets R for a little drugs in the plot, while in other movies, people get murdered, beaten, raped, etc, and get PG or PG-13 ... anyway... LAME.
