Sony kicked off their PlayStation Now beta on PlayStation 3 back in January and now they're ready to take another step forward. Sony's official game streaming service is ready to kick off its Private Beta program for PlayStation 4 on May 20.

The Gaikai-powered PlayStation Now allows users to stream and play select PlayStation 3 games on compatible devices. Just as with PS3, a 5Mbps wired connection is recommended for optimal use. In addition to PS4 and PS3, Sony hopes to expand the service to Vita and Sony Bravia televisions by the end of the year.

More beta invites are expected to go out soon, according to PlayStation.Blog. Interested users can register on the PlayStation Now website.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?

Have they released any tangible details on this yet like a pricing model?

Nothing yet, as far as I know, but I wouldn't be surprised if this somehow becomes a PlayStation Plus incentive at some point.

It would be insane for it not to. I can't imagine there's a whole lot of us eager to shell out per title for games that won't even physically be on our consoles.

This just reminded me to contact Support about the beta key I never received.

I was invited over a month ago, accepted it, and never received a code =(
