Transistor sets the vibe with a launch trailer

The latest from Supergiant Games is very close, and a launch trailer has been revealed.

Supergiant Games' latest effort, the stylish Transistor, is just a few days from release. To help get its fans hyped for the forthcoming PS4/PC follow-up to Bastion, the developer has unleashed a new trailer, featuring both the talking sword and the silent heroine in action.

Although the trailer doesn't reveal too much new gameplay, there are bits and pieces of the isometric action title intact, complete with a few tactics that will throw off the enemies that are pursuing you.

Mostly, though, look at that art style. Supergiant definitely appears to be going on the right track with this one, between the lavish city design and the fluid animations. We'll hold off judgment until the game arrives next week, but, for now, check out the trailer.

I want to watch this trailer, but I won't. Child of Light had some great surprise moments which probably would have been ruined if I had watched its trailers, and I don't want to make that mistake with Transistor

Doesn't look like any spoilers to me.

just watched it. It's pretty stylish, and just mentions that you'll be hunting down some bad guys. No spoilers (I think). Not really much about the story or locations at all.

Wow, that was one of the most stylistically gorgeous trailers I've ever seen.

I'm so pumped for this game!

So pumped for this game. Got to play it early on at GDC last year and was amazed at that point it seemed super polished and fun.

Think id like to wait for some peer reviews and some pro-reviews as well. Looks very nice but her movements seem clumsy. I realize videos cant give you the complete picture so Id rather wait and see.
Remember the days when you could download demos?

There's a lot of gameplay videos on youtube from old presentations.

Gameplay is a mix of turn-based and action. If anything, it reminds me of Secret of Mana/Seiken Densetsu's gameplay (hence why I'm very excited for this game) although with little differences on how it performs actions.
