Today Upper One Games debuted the first trailer for Never Alone, a puzzle platformer that follows a young Iñupiaq girl named Nuna and her companion, an arctic fox. The studio itself was founded by a tribal council in Anchorage, Alaska, and appropriately enough the trailer is delivered with that spirit and in the native language.

According to Upper One, the game aims to combine folklore and stories passed along by Alaska Native people, featuring characters like the Manslayer, Blizzard Man, Sky People, and Rolling Heads. . You'll control both Nuna and the fox in single-player, or split duties in multiplayer. More information about the Iñupiaq will be unlockable. And though the trailer is largely focused on tundra and icy caves, the announcement promises it will feature coastal villages and forests as well.

"We're extremely proud and excited to be building a truly unique game," said Upper One president Gloria O'Neill, in the announcement. "Video games are powerful tools for making the history, tradition and culture of indigenous peoples relevant to both the next generation of Native people and the rest of the world."

Never Alone is set to hit PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One this fall for $14.99.
