With the game just a few weeks away from release, 505 Games and the developers at Rebellion have released a new trailer for Sniper Elite 3, which goes into more detail regarding how the game works, and how you can use the environment to your advantage.

The game takes place in Africa in 1942, and it appears that Germany's Afrika Korps has the kind of weaponry that can easily turn the tide of World War II in their favor. That's where you come in, playing a sniper who can make just as much of a difference hitting someone from afar as you can up close shoving a knife into someone's gullet.

In the trailer, the developers explain the importance of exploration, as there's more than one way to take out your targets. You could take your chances with up-close combat with soldiers, but there are a number of vantage points to utilize as well, ideal spots to fire a long-range bullet into the skull of an Afrika Korps soldier.

It also explains the importance of cover. If you get a soldier's attention, you'll be able to see where their positions are and prepare accordingly, either by taking out each soldier one at a time or setting a trap where you can finish them off with an explosion.

With so many combat opportunities available, Sniper Elite 3 should appeal to fans of the series, as well as newcomers looking for an action-oriented challenge to get them through the summer. Look for the game on June 27 for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PC.
