As some fans suspected from hints dropped in Pokemon X and Y, Nintendo is bringing out remakes of the classic Ruby and Sapphire versions. Called Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, respectively, they'll be launching worldwide on 3DS this November.

Ruby and Sapphire came out in 2003, and remain among the more highly-regarded of the series' long history. Nintendo didn't release many details, aside from a trailer that shows off the updated box art.

Ooooh...I never played through all of Ruby or Sapphire so I'll keep an eye on this for sure.

"remain among the more highly-regarded" really? I skipped this gen on GBA, but most people I talk to consider this the worst or one of the worst entries.

Yeah ruby and sapphire are probably the least likeable entries in the series

Nah, those folks are crazy. I loved Ruby/Sapphire for introducing Natures, Pokemon Contests, and Double Battles.

Eh I consider it the weakest in the series for me. Though I did skip out on Black and White.

Only good thing to come out of these games was Aggron.

Is this the one with all the worthless Sims type mini games and distractions?
