EA extends Respawn deal for more Titanfall 'experiences'

Electronic Arts has confirmed that it has extended its partnership with Respawn Entertainment to produce more Titanfall. We first heard about the deal from anonymous sources in March, but EA has confirmed it amid financial reports for the closing fiscal year.

"EA is continuing its partnership with Vince Zampella and Respawn... to bring new Titanfall experiences to players worldwide," CEO Andrew Wilson said during yesterday's investor's call, according to the company's Twitter.

The publisher's move to lock down rights for sequels comes as no surprise given its success. It met with a generally positive critical consensus, and was the top selling game in March among physical releases. EA also noted in its financials that it was among the top five best-selling games in the west this calendar year, without offering specific numbers.
