Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn hits crowdfunding target

Shaq-Fu: The Legend Reborn has successfully hit its crowdfunding goal, and expanded its plans to consoles even without hitting a previously stated stretch goal.

The crowd-funding campaign for Shaq-Fu: A Legend Reborn has reached its end, and like all things Shaq-related, it has emerged victorious. The campaign ended at $473,884, topping its baseline goal of $450,000.

The campaign on Indiegogo (via Joystiq) originally planned console only versions if it hit a stretch goal of $775,000. An update to the campaign page, added during the home stretch, stated that reaching $450,000 meant it would release on PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Wii U.

Developer Big Deez Productions is making this Shaq-themed video game a brawler instead of a fighter like the first one, letting the star of Kazaam wail on ninjas.

I do love when Shacknews has some good Shaq news.

A brawler sounds way better than a fighting game. The side-scrolling beat-em-up section of Saints Row IV reminded me how much fun those games can be.
