Pokken Tournament trademark reignites hope for Pokemon fighting game
Coupled with a mysterious teaser video released at the Pokemon Game Show in Japan last year, it seems ever more likely that a Pokemon fighting game is in the works.
Nearly a year ago, The Pokemon Company registered two trademarks, both of which could apply to a potential new fighting game: Pokken Fighters and Pokken Tournament. Today, the two names have resurfaced as European trademarks. Coupled with a mysterious teaser video released at the Pokemon Game Show in Japan last year, it seems ever more likely that a Pokemon fighting game is in the works.
Discovered by All Games Beta, the two marks were both registered in the United Kingdom by The Pokemon Company's US division. The marks cover "interactive video games."
