Microsoft has registered a pair of new Xbox-related domains: XboxAB.com and XboxAB.net. The domains were acquired just three days ago, on April 28.
While there's little to go off of, speculation on NeoGAF includes ideas that AB could refer to "Augmented Body," based on Microsoft's augmented reality tech demo. Another possibility is that Microsoft is simply setting up a Swedish subsidiary. Finally, it could also refer to the chiseled abs that Xbox owners get from Kinect-enabled workouts.
Joking aside, Microsoft did comment on the story, telling Gamespot "Microsoft often acquires various domain names as part of its ongoing business strategy, but beyond that we have no comment." With E3 just around the corner, it's likely we'll find out more about what this mysterious new domain name might possibly mean.
