Country of Denmark recreated in 1TB Minecraft map

3

Fans have made so many amazing creations in Minecraft that we've become pretty desensitized to them. Oh, you created a fully functional city in the game? That would have been impressive a few years ago, but the stakes have been dramatically raised. And now, the bar has been set by the country of Denmark. The government has recreated the entire country in Minecraft... just to show off, we suppose.

The entire country has been recreated at 1:1 scale using 4 trillion bricks. Built by using the Danish Geodata Agency's 3D elevation model, it was later populated with ouses, lakes, rivers, lamp posts, and railways.

You can download the data from the organization (via PC Gamer), but be warned: it takes 1 terabyte of space to store. It is a country after all.

Pretty sure chunks get unloaded pretty quickly in game. It'll never actually handle that much data in one go.
