Love it or hate it, the Resident Evil film franchise doesn't look like it's about to end anytime soon. Writer/director Paul W.S. Anderson has announced that he'll begin drafting the sixth Resident Evil movie today, following his most recent project, February's volcano disaster movie Pompeii.
"I have to go home tomorrow to start writing Resident Evil," Anderson said at the Beijing International Film Festival. CCTV (via Polygon) reports that the film's tentative title will be Resident Evil: Rising.
Anderson added that actress Li Bingbing would return as Ada Wong after she previously played the character in 2012's Resident Evil: Retribution. It is unknown whether Milla Jovovich will return as Alice, the central character of the previous movies.
