A new seven minute gameplay video gives one of the most revealing looks into how Bungie's upcoming Destiny will play. In this presentation, you'll see a co-op "Strike" mission on the Devil's Lair. You'll see the level from the perspective of three different players, and you'll see some of their special abilities come into play. You'll even see one player get dropped--only to be revived by a co-op buddy.

The video ends with a promise that the game will be playable at E3. Sure, those Shacknews jerks will be at the show to get hands-on, but the rest of y'all will have to wait until that playable beta drops later this year.

Andrew Yoon was previously a games journalist creating content at Shacknews.

That didn't look super-amazing or anything but I'm still pissed off that there's no PC version. I don't know what their problem is. I guess they don't want our money.

To be fair, working on four platforms is a fuck load of work for one studio already, which has basically been their reason for it. Sounds like they'd love to if they can though.

This game looks incredibly generic and boring, which is a crying shame. I remember back when they announced it--the artwork and background story sounded so cool. But this...this just looks like a Borderlands clone. Seems to me like it's a bunch of idiots running around gathering "loot" and wearing non-sensical costumes, while fighting wave after wave of respawning enemies who exist only to flash their particle effects in your general direction before absorbing a spray of bullets and having their health meter drop.

Man that was so...uninspired. There was absolutely nothing there to hook me.

I doubt it will flop, but I imagine like Titanfall, it'll debut to decent reviews and some excitement and a few weeks later, only a small portion of buyers will still be playing.

I'm hoping they show us something more compelling soon, as I was looking forward to this, but it just looks like Halo without the Halo stuff. I'm not really attached to Halo, but it just doesn't look like anything new or exciting.

Doesn't look too bad, but the voice acting was pretty bad.

After watching that I keep picturing that bit from family guy with the peanut butter and chocolate car crash.

"You got halo in my borderlands."

I guess I'm one of the few who thinks this looks like a lot of fun? This is one of my most anticipated games of the year. Borderlands with Halo combat... Yes please.
