Sportsfriends, a compilation of four local multiplayer games, will be available on PS3 and PS4 for $14.99. Included in the bundle are Johann Sebastian Joust, Hokra, Super Pole Riders, and BaraBariBall.

Hokra is a delightfully minimalist take on ice hockey, while Super Pole Riders is the extreme sports version of pole vault, and BaraBariBall is somewhere between volleyball and Super Smash Brothers. As for Joust, well, that's hard to explain.

Thanks to Cross-Buy, one purchase will unlock both versions of the game. There are differences between the two platforms, however. The PS3 version will let you play Joust for us to seven players, while the PS4 version only supports four. You can also load your own music into the PS3 version, while that option is missing on PS4.

Excitingly, neither PS3 nor PS4 version of the game require the use of PlayStation Move for Joust. While originally designed for the motion controller, both DualShock 3 and 4s can be used instead. On PS4, the controller will use the speaker and LED--key to fully enjoying the game, we'd say.

A PC version will also be coming out shortly after Sony's PlayStation exclusivity runs out. Here's a trailer:

I backed this on Kickstarter and I have a lot of anticipation for it. Waiting on the PC release, though.
