Evolve 4v1 gameplay video lets you pick your perspective

If you didn't have a chance to play the game at PAX East, here's the next best thing: a video that lets you see a complete match--from any of the five possible perspectives.

The asymmetric gameplay of Turtle Rock's upcoming Evolve can be a bit daunting at first. A squad of four human players must team up to take down a giant monster--also played by a human. With so many roles to choose from, what will you do?

Our preview only scratched the surface of the forthcoming next-gen shooter. If you didn't have a chance to play the game at PAX East, here's the next best thing: a video that lets you see a complete match--from any of the five possible perspectives.

The "4v1 Interactive Trailer" will let you choose between the Trapper, Assault, Support, Medic, and the Goliath monster. You an also switch to a commentated version, which includes narration by design director Chris Ashton.

For the sake of the video, in-game HUD elements like health bars, jetpack meters, and player names have been hidden. By keeping annotations on, you'll be able to use them to switch between perspectives in real-time throughout the match. Enjoy:

This game looks awesome, but I worry about its staying power. Seems like it might get boring quickly.

This game looked amazing at PAX. I Wasn't even really looking forward to it until I saw those matches they had. It looks like a lot of fun.

Yeah it blew me away how good it looked at PAX. I couldn't believe I hadn't heard of it before.

Also they had a huge outlandish booth that I appreciated too :D

Yeah, that statue was huge and pretty cool. A buddy of mine did the lighting for that booth.
