It's almost a given that if Galak-Z: The Dimensional is taking cues from Spelunky and Don't Starve, you're probably going to die. But developer 17-bit isn't about to let its players fly blindly into oblivion. After all, they have a sterling survival rate to maintain. In an effort to help out, the studio has released a new trailer for their upcoming roguelike top-down shooter.

Aside from showing the many dangers that inhabit the cosmos, the latest trailer makes sure to emphasize that Galak-Z won't play like other top-down space shooters. Since each player only gets one life, tactics are crucial for survival.

Galak-Z: The Dimensional is expected to release in early fall on PS4 before hitting Vita and PC afterwards.

But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
