Subnautica screenshots show off Natural Selection dev's underwater explorer

Natural Selection dev Unknown Worlds' next game is quite different from their first. Subnautica is an "open world underwater exploration and construction game," where players will have to dive through the depths to collect resources while avoiding creatures.

Natural Selection dev Unknown Worlds' next game is quite different from their first. Subnautica is an "open world underwater exploration and construction game," where players will have to dive through the depths to collect resources while avoiding creatures like Stalkers and Jumpers. Players can use a personal propeller vehicle to swim through the ocean. Or, for a bit more protection and speed, they can also use Cyclops--a submarine. Unknown Worlds showcased the game at PAX East and revealed the game's very first screenshots. This pre-alpha look only gives a glimpse of the various environments, mechanics, and graphical features the full Subnautica release will have.
