Blizzard held a panel for Heroes of the Storm at PAX East earlier today. The upcoming MOBA, which is currently in Technical Alpha, is slated to receive some new additions, including four new heroes.

Heroes Nexus has offered details on Heroes of the Storm's latest champions.

  • Li Li Stormstout, one of World of Warcraft's Pandarians, will play a support role and can heal herself and surrounding allies.

  • Zagara, the Zerg Swarm's second-in-command from StarCraft, can increase her speed by dropping Creep Tumors. She can also warp across the map at will by using Nydus Worms.

  • Murky, WoW's baby Murloc, is incredibly brittle. However, he can lay an egg in order to respawn quickly, making him a persistent pest.

  • Brightwing, Warcraft's Faerie Dragon, can passively heal nearby allies and mischievously transform enemies. She can bounce from ally to ally to give them a healing boost. Blizzard provided a trailer for Brightwing, which you can see below.

There are also three other World of Warcraft heroes currently confirmed to be in development: Chen Stormstout, Sylvanas Windrunner, and Kael'thas Sunstrider. These new additions come in the wake of the latest trailer released for StarCraft's Kerrigan, which can be seen below, along with the other trailers released today.

Blizzard has updated many of HotS' hero models, indicating that the studio is aiming to evolve the game's look as development moves forward. They are also offering up some new skins for existing heroes.

No release date for the Heroes of the Storm beta was given, but Blizzard is still taking sign-ups.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
