I hit the min on the CPU i5-750(though mines OC`d) and hit the recommended on the GPU. It`s interesting this and Watch Dogs are pushing the boundaries. I`ll get a Haswell refresh CPU and a 800 series GPU hopefully to ensure I`m ready.

Exact same situation here (except I have 470 SLI, roughly equivalent). These new games launching are making it really hard to wait for supposedly Q4. Hurry up and get those chips smallerified Intel/nVidia.

Depends on what resolution you play at. Currently I play at 1440p and most new stuff plays at around 30-60 fps. Older titles are higher which is nice, however I actually have 3 screens, but only the really old stuff I get to run all 3 screens on well. I`m a gfx whore so lowering setttings just isn`t in my vocab. I think for 1080p a 660 should be fine still.

I will get rid of my Phenom II 955 BE when they pry it from my cold dead hands (or I somehow get the ~$350 to replace my MB and CPU)

      Welcome to next-gen.

It's safe to assume that console to PC ports moving forward are going to have requirements like this. They're not designed for low-end systems anymore.

But...this is a cross-gen game, right? I'm guessing it has more to do with just really poor engine optimization.

Glad to see I'm not the only one thinking the same about min specs finally moving up. Not that I'm eager to drop a few bones on hardware, but it is nice to see we're finally able to move the lowest common denominator.

Hmm, my i7-920 and 580gtx had a good run, but it might be time to put it out to pasture.
