Developer 11-Bit Studios is ready to say goodbye to the Anomaly series. Today, the studio unveiled the last of its tower offense games, callled Anomaly Defenders. And as its title might imply, it'll be the aliens who will be dishing out the pain this time around.

Anomaly Defenders takes place after the events of the first two games, with the humans planning to make one last push against the alien forces. Players will now control the aliens, with the object to squash the human ranks, once and for all. The game will feature eight different tower types, each with a unique special ability. Each tower can be upgraded, with players managing their own tech tree through 24 levels.

11-Bit Studios is aiming to release Anomaly Defenders this spring on PC and mobile devices.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
