Flockers is Lemmings-inspired, and incredibly grisly

Team17 has taken the wraps off of its next game Flockers, revealed to be a Lemmings-inspired puzzle game in which you guide sheep away from certain death.

Following a surprisingly bare-bones announcement in February, Team17 has finally taken the wraps off of Flockers for real. Inspired by Lemmings, Flockers will have players guide a flock of sheep through puzzle areas that are absolutely filthy with death traps. The screens show this in action, and a brief CG trailer has a sheep unwittingly murdering his flock by pressing a button. Why do they even have that button? Flockers will be available on PC via Steam Early Access in Q2. The game was also showcased at a PlayStation event, so it's likely bound to come there too, once the game is officially completed.

  Not hating on this specifically, but I think this is a perfect example of being inspired by something from the past and just putting a cynical, ironic, or violent spin on it.

  I think this may be fun if I never played lemmings. Right now I'm a bit iffy, but I think Team17 is a decent dev so who knows.
