Wii U may be struggling to get the support of big-budget publishers, but Nintendo has started making important inroads with another source of games: indies. Thanks to Wii U's native support of the Unity engine, over 50 games are coming to Wii U.
Nintendo is showcasing nine different games on the GDC show floor. However, there are 50 more games "waiting in the wings."
"Over the course of this show, we have nine games on display," Nintendo of America senior manager Damon Baker told Siliconera. "We have 17 that are currently in the pipeline, that have been submitted. So they will all be out within the next two months."
"And then, we have another fifty that are waiting in the wings, that are coming; so we've got a lot of Unity content on the way," he added.
