Ubisoft has confirmed Assassin's Creed Unity just days after details leaked, and has shown a short trailer with a look at the city of Paris.

Well that was fast. Only two days after screenshots leaked outing the next Assassin's Creed game Unity, Ubisoft has confirmed it's real and has shown off "first official footage" via a trailer. It will be available this holiday season exclusively for next-gen consoles and PC.

"We have been working on the new Assassin's Creed for more than three years," a Ubisoft PR representative said in the announcement.

The earlier rumor also stated that a second game, code-named "Comet," would be available on PS3 and Xbox 360 this year. Today's announcement doesn't confirm that bit, nor any word of the new hero purportedly named Arno, but it does give us a nice view of Paris. It's apparently "100% in-game, no bullshit," according to our own eonix, who worked on the trailer. Check it out below.
