DreamWorks Animation's upcoming How to Train Your Dragon 2 will be getting a console game adaptation from Torus Games, a veteran developer of licensed games. The upcoming game will let players ride dragons, compete in mini-games, and participate in tournaments. It'll be available this June on Xbox 360, Nintendo 3DS, Wii, Wii U, and PlayStation 3. "The action filled world of Dragons translates beautifully to the video game space. We are thrilled to be working with Little Orbit on creating a soaring, action-packed Dragon experience for young gamers," DreamWorks' Chris Hewish said in the announcement.

Strange. Traveller's Tales had no problem bringing their Lego games to current-generation consoles. Why aren't other licensed games doing the same?

In this particular case the publisher is Little Orbit who doesn't have the resources of a Warner Bros. (publishers of the LEGO games). Little Orbit typically does budget games (Barbie Dreamhouse Party, Young Justice, Monster High). From what I can tell all of the Little Orbit games have launched in the $19.99 to $29.99 price range.
