Devolver Digital is teaming up with filmmakers Bram Ruiter and Daniel Oliveira Carneiro for Super Game Jam, a showcase of five new indie games created within the span of 48 hours. Development of the games will caught on-camera for a documentary series, while the games will be created by five randomly-paired indie developers.

The series will follow the creative process, technical skill, and friendships that invariably come when working on a gaming project. The series will begin in the Netherlands, as the crew follows Vlambeer's Jan Willem Nijman and ibb & obb creator Richard Boeser. The series then proceed to Berlin, Oakland, Gothenburg, and London, following such indie developers as Hotline Miami co-creator Jonatan Soderstrom and Gunpoint creator Tom Francis.

Super Game Jame will kick off this April, with each game and film made available for download through Steam. For the full list of developer pairings, check out the video below.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
