Capcom and Machinima have revealed the first trailer for the upcoming Street Fighter live-action web series, Street Fighter: The Assassin's Fist. The series follows main series protagonists, Ryu and Ken, during their formative training years, as they learn of the tragic conflict between their master, Gouken, and his evil nemesis, Akuma.

The project was first announced at San Diego Comic-Con 2012, following-up on Capcom's plan to expand on the popular fan film Street Fighter: Legacy. Joey Ansah will pull double duty, co-writing the script and also playing the demonic Akuma. Actor Mike Moh will play Ryu, while Mark Killeen will play Ken. The series also promises to go into the origins of a number of Street Fighter characters.

Street Fighter: The Assassin's Fist is coming soon to Machinima. Check out the trailer below.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
