While Amazon has yet to officially announce a set top box, it's commonly believed the company is developing a competitor to Apple TV, Roku, and its ilk. In addition to supporting Amazon streaming video, the upcoming device is expected to support games. With Amazon's recent purchase of Killer Instinct dev Double Helix, it's clear that the company is interested in becoming a major player in the gaming space.

Photos of an Amazon-developed controller have been spotted by David Zatz (via Eurogamer) off the Brazilian equivalent of the FTC website.

Details of Amazon's rumored box are hard to come by, but it's largely believed that it will launch with Netflix and Hulu Plus apps.

Maybe this is just a speed to market thing like the original Kindle Fire where they just reused the Zoom's design and then evolved from there.

There's been a bit of discussion on other blogs about the 6 LEDs on the top. But, the doc image that's also floating around show a few status lights on the top front edge too.

It looks like it has that rubbery texture that the kindle paperwhite has. I find it pleasing to my digits.

Yikes! That's one ugly looking controller. Did they steal a design from some 70's device?
