If Lords of Shadow 2 and its Alucard DLC still isn't Castlevania for you, there second chapter of the trilogy is about to make its way to PC. Konami has announced that Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate HD will make its way to Steam later this month.

Designed as a 2D platformer, Mirror of Fate was originally released on 3DS in 2013, before seeing an HD console version hit Xbox 360 and PS3 later that year. The game tells the stories of Simon Belmont, Alucard, and Trevor Belmont, all leading directly into the Lords of Shadow 2 modern setting. The remake also includes a Boss Rush mode and online leaderboards and will add Steam achievements to the PC version.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?

Will be interesting to see how this is received. I tried this out on the 360 a while back, seemed like an absolute bummer as a fan of the old 2D games. I'd rather see Konami port any of their 2D games to Steam instead in glorious non-HD.

Keep'em coming! All the more reason NOT to buy a 3DS (2DS). Thanks! :)
