"The final installment of our campaign gives players the chance to experience combat on a larger scale than we've seen so far," creative director Jay Crowe said in today's announcement. "Tactical freedom - together with big, combined arms engagements - is at the heart of Episode 3's gameplay, as we follow Ben Kerry's story to its conclusion." Win adds two new planes, which will star in a campaign mission, and a transport troop truck. Bohemia's working on free DLC named Zeus too, which will let one player become a 'game master' to set objectives, control NPCs, mess with the environment and whatnot in real time. It's due some time from April to the end of June.

Any sign of them adding co-op yet? Co-op play was my favorite thing about Arma2: Operation Arrowhead's campaigns (especially given the "combined arms" gameplay - infantry, air, and armor roles that different players could take on), and it sounds like it'd be fantastic for this final episode. I thought I heard though that these campaign missions were singleplayer-only though.

I've been hesitant to get into Arma3 just because I don't want to have to rely almost exclusively on user-generated content to play with my friends.

A3 comes with some coop missions on Stratis/Altis, but the campaign missions are not made for coop.

The plot of the first two episodes sort of has you as a guerrilla, so big battles don't make sense within that context. We might see something like what you're imaging in the final chapter.
