Weekend PC download deals: Oscar weekend edition

The Academy Awards are this weekend. You might recognize it as the award show that always runs about two hours too long and makes you wonder why you're bothering to watch one of the world's most boring award show. I can't imagine Ellen DeGeneres is about to change that, either, so I guess this weekend is a prime opportunity to catch up with your PC games.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?

Steam also has Deadfall Adventures at 50% off with a free MP weekend + the first two SP levels.

And Gamestop.com was selling AvP: Colonial Marines for 1.99 if it intrests anyone. I allowed myself to drop 2 dollars on that.....barely.

Shame the third part requires Origin. I do own the first two games and if I ever come up to playing those, have to figure out someway to play the third also, without Origin.

I'd probably that up if they ever had the DLC on sale. Ever.

Just a warning, the Bundle Stars package with Ship Simulator Extremes will not work. After buying it a month or two ago during another Shack posting on weekend deals, the CD key is invalid. I checked the Steam forums, and there were about 100 people with the same problem. I checked my key again just now and it is still invalid. Hope this helps.
