Minecraft continues to reach new milestones. Mojang's combination of 3D adventure and item building has managed to reach 100 million registered users, according to the game's creator, Marcus "Notch" Persson. Of course, not everyone that registers buys the game, citing a 14.3% conversion rate on Twitter.

The PC version has sold over 10 million units so far, while the Xbox 360 version isn't far behind. The late-arriving PS3 version has also sold over one million. Additional ports are planned for other systems, including Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PS Vita.

What's the benefit to registering but not buying?

I'm kind of embarrassed to admit it... but I'll have a hard time NOT buying this game for the fifth time when it comes to the PS4.

I bought two copies of it on PC when it was in Alpha (discounted), once on Android, and then on the 360.

Does this mean I'm the only person that gives no shits to play this game. My nephew bugs me incessantly to play it and I can't see the lure.

At this point, you just might very well be last human being who doesn't give a shit about Minecraft.

The only way you will understand the lure is if you give it a chance and play it. And consult the wiki for first things to do.

I played it, and it can be fun, but then once I start building shit I feel like if I'm going to spend all this time and effort to build shit, then I should probably build something in real life.

Really hoping Notch will make the inevitable Wii U port also.

The gamepad with it's inventory etc. possibilities is something that no other platform just can offer.

Only own it on Android when it was two years ago for 0,10€ during Christmas. Haven't really played it since it looks crap on phone screen, would need a good tablet for Minecraft for it to really shine.
