AVault is reporting Sierra and Valve will be releasing Half-Life again, this time with a "Platinum Edition" tag. The Platinum Edition will include the latest version of Half-Life, Opposing Force and Team Fortress Classic. It is scheduled for a late 2000 release.

This is a good idea for a game like HalfLife. It still sells, so they have to print more CDs and boxes. They might as well put the most up-to-date patched version of the game... and some extras to keep the sales going. They should put Counter Strike in there too. That would really push it into the mainstream.

Why not squeeze every nickel out of consumers? Valve was one of the last few decent game shops .... now they're turning into money-grubbing whores.

Give us a break with the new Platinum Millennium Special Upgrade Super-duper Mission Addon Bells Whistles Cool Box Edition.
