Battlefield 4 will receive Platoons soon. For those unfamiliar, Platoons are used as a grouping tool during battle that allows players to communicate more easily. All players will be able to join a Platoon, but creating one will require a Premium membership and a soldier ranked 10 or higher. Platoons are platform-agnostic and will support up to 100 members.
Before the official rollout, DICE is giving a select number of players beta access. Dedicated fans will have the chance to test out the new feature and provide feedback. Fans who are interested in participating in the beta can sign up on the Battlelog Battlefield 4 forum. Players who already have a Platoon will have a greater chance to be included in the beta.
Of course, Platoons--as with everything else in Battlefield--will be updated constantly. "We will continue to work on the feature to refine and expand it, but now we will finally have the opportunity to see it in action and get some real-world feedback. Now is the time for all our players to tell us what they like, what they want improved, and what they want to see next," DICE said.
