Thief launch trailer sneaks out early

Though Eidos Montreal's Thief doesn't launch until next week, the launch trailer arrived today, casing the scene before emerging from the shadows. It's pleasingly not that violent but does hint at more of the story than we've perhaps seen before, so you may want to steer clear if you're hoping to go in blank.

If you want gameplay, though, publisher Square Enix last week released a 17-minute unedited playthrough of the game's first mission.

Thief is coming to PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PS3 on February 25. Pre-ordering will get you a new DLC mission for free, The Bank Heist.

Every story has to be a life or death struggle to save the city, the country, the planet, or the galaxy.
