The Last of Us is one of the most talked-about games of last year. Chances are, after the game's haunting final moments, you've been curious to find out more about the creation of Naughty Dog's horror adventure.

Grounded: The Making of The Last of Us is a feature length documentary produced by Area 5 that goes behind the scenes of the game's development. Previously exclusive to Season Pass holders, Sony has partnered up with Amazon Instant Video to make the entire film available for free--in SD and HD.

You can add the movie to your Amazon video library here. You can watch it on your TV using the PlayStation Amazon app, of course.

Andrew Yoon was previously a games journalist creating content at Shacknews.

How bad was the crunch on the game? The spend a bit of time at the end whitewashing crunch as a fun thing that you need to do to make the game great, which got on my nerves.

I'm not sure you can avoid crunch. I've always experienced some form of crunch throughout my career as a software developer.

That's why I am asking how bad it was. Crunch is sometimes necessary, but most of the time I've seen it's been because of really piss poor management. When crunch turns into a deathmarch for months on end, then it can be crippling.

Sounded like 7 weeks at the end, but there were most assuredly burst crunches around certain milestones like E3 demo, etc.

It was a great watch. My season pass purchase is looking less and less valuable in time though, with the single player DLC being short and a little disappointing, and other DLCs being MP only.

That is awesome. I love these kind of documentaries. I supported the Double Fine game just to see the documentary...mostly.
