Assassin's Creed turns into a board game with 'Arena'

4

The Assassin's Creed transmedia universe continues to grow, this time into board games. Ubisoft has partnered up with Cryptozic Entertainment on Assassin's Creed: Arena. Described as a "strategic game of cat-and-mouse," 2-4 players must race against each other to try and get as many kills and victory points as possible.

The game takes place during the Revelations era and has players moving their characters across the rooftops of Constantinople.

The Ubi blog admits that the game "has a lot of rules." With PvP, guards, treasures, victory points, and more, there's definitely a lot to keep track of.

You can read the post for a better idea of how to play the game, but if it piques your interest, the game will be available on February 26th for $50.

Looks interesting but 50 bucks seems a bit high, maybe 30 dollars would be a better deal. There doesn't seem to be that much to it piece wise. I'll likely wait a bit to see if goes cheaper, or if those who have played say it's worth the 50 dollars.

These days $50 is about average for board games with a lot of components.
