Today during its Nintendo Direct presentation, Nintendo announced a new 3DS game that packages baseball into a series of mini-games with a unique take on free-to-play. Titled Rusty's Real Deal Baseball, the game will offer actual discounts by haggling in the game. It’s set to release this April.

Nintendo president Satoru Iwata said that each game costs $4 as a base cost, but you can earn discounts within the game by doing favors for Rusty, the in-game shop owner. Those discounts will then be applied to the actual real-money cost of the mini-games. A few examples were shown, including batting and catching games.

The baseball game might become big in Japan, and perhaps USA.

Europe won't give a damn, that's why in Europe the football manager f2p game from Nintendo will be more interesting.
