Final Fantasy 6 blitzes onto iOS
Three weeks after hitting Android, Square Enix has brought the classic Final Fantasy VI to iOS devices for $15.99. The game features restored graphics, refined touch controls, and iCloud saves to help carry your file across devices.
Square Enix has completed work on the iOS version of Final Fantasy VI. The 1994 Super NES classic has arrived on the App Store, three weeks after it was released on Android.
Much like its Android counterpart, the Final Fantasy VI iOS port features restored graphics, along with the new magicites and events that were included in the 2007 Game Boy Advance remake. The game has also been refined for touch controls. iOS players will have the benefit of saving across the iCloud, allowing them to carry saves across devices.
Also like the Android version, the iOS version of Final Fantasy VI comes with a $15.99 price tag on the App Store.

I just played through the opening segments a few minutes ago. The only thing you have to consider is whether or not you accept the remastered spritework. It doesn't have the nostalgic charm of the original graphics of course, but there's no denying it's higher resolution. Some people are really objecting to it, I got used to the new graphics pretty quick.
Other than that, it's the exact same FFVI we all know and love. The UI is perfectly good, the music is the same as original, and they use the same translation as on the GBA as far as I can tell. So just look at some screenshots or something and that's all you need to know before you make a decision.
