Double Fine kicks off Amnesia Fortnight 2014 voting, includes ideas from Adventure Time creator

Double Fine has kicked off this year's Amnesia Fortnight, letting you buy the ability to vote on their prototypes and receive them in turn. Paying more than the average lets you vote on pitches from Adventure Time creator Pendleton Ward.

Double Fine has kicked off another "Amnesia Fortnight," its two-week internal game jam that generated recent games like Costume Quest, Stacking, and Hack 'n' Slash. That means for the next two weeks, Double Fine will be hunkered down building prototypes, and as in its 2012 Amnesia Fortnight, you get to vote on which ones will dominate their time.

Contributing to the cause will get you a collection of their 2012 prototypes, access to the eventual 2014 prototypes, and the ability to vote on ideas. Plus, beating the average lets you vote on game ideas from Adventure Time creator Pendleton Ward.

The studio has paired with Humble Bundle for the promotion and voting process. Paying more than a buck lets you vote on which three ideas (of the 29 proposals) you'd most like to see made into a game. Ten finalists will be announced on February 10, and then Double Fine will make prototypes out of four of them. 2 Player Productions, the video team behind the Double Fine Adventure documentary, will be making another video doc for this one.

Paying more than the average (currently around $6) will let you vote for your favorite idea from Ward, who is serving as the project lead during the game jam. He has four pitches of his own up on the site with such names as "Cupid, You Fat Little Scamp" and "Damnit Jerry." Yep, that sounds like Pendleton Ward.

Contributing more than $35 will also net you a pre-order for a two-disc Amnesia Fortnight 2014 set, which includes the video doc on Blu-ray and all of the prototypes on a DVD.

Paired with the announcement, the Humble Weekly sale is all Double Fine games, letting you grab Psyconauts, Costume Quest, and Stacking on the cheap. Paying more than $6 will also get you Brutal Legend and paying more than $16.74 will get you the alpha build of Spacebase DF-9.

Lots of interesting sounding projects. I really hope Astro Helmet and Derelict make the cut. Breach, Reentry and The Last Missile Commander also sound good.

This is a great idea but I think they need to change the name... I love you and want to see you succeed, Double Fine!

Donated and voted for Timagotchi, What Could Go Wrong, and Parabolic. Wish I had more than 3 votes though. So many cool ideas.

Many great ideas. Ether, Breach and Fathomless got my votes though.
