Perhaps the most high-profile game for Oculus Rift is EVE: Valkyrie. A small team at CCP worked on a quick demo showcasing space combat in VR, but they've expanded it into a full game ever since gamers have raved about it.

While much of Valkyrie's appeal is due to its support of VR, gamers hoping to play a traditional version of the game will be disappointed to discover that the game will launch as an Oculus exclusive.

The first co-publishing project from Oculus is Valkyrie, making it an "exclusive Oculus Rift launch title." The company will be looking for more "made-for-VR" content as it expands its publishing portfolio.

"We strongly believe the best VR experiences are going to be the ones built from the ground up for VR, and we've kept that in mind whilst developing Valkyrie," CCP said in the announcement. "We wanted people to really feel like they were there--to sense the vastness of space, feel the confined area of the cockpit and get that adrenaline rush as you see an exploding fighter whizz past your head."

Andrew Yoon was previously a games journalist creating content at Shacknews.
