Murdered: Soul Suspect haunting Xbox One too

At this point, a big publisher launching a potential new series (what original game from a big publisher isn't a potential new series?) solely on current-gen systems feels a little quaint, nostalgic, silly. It's not wholly surprising, then, that Square Enix has confirmed Murdered: Soul Suspect will spook Xbox One too.

The news was revealed in what appears to be a new trailer given early exclusively to Game Informer, introduced by Microsoft's Larry 'Major Nelson' Hryb. Square Enix told the site to wait on news about the potential of a PlayStation 4 release, so today's news may be a doubly timed-exclusive announcement.

Launching later this year, Soul Suspect is also coming to PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3.

The game's about a dead detective who returns as a ghost to solve his own murder with his new-found spectral powers. Here's a whopping great 25-minute gameplay trailer from last year:

Am I the only one who will refuse to pay for this game, on the basis that I'd be playing a fedora wearing, neck tattooed douche muncher? I don't want to be represented in the game world by a massive twat.
