Ah, the days of classic cartoons that were created for the dual purpose of entertaining kids and selling them piles of toys. It's a spirit that lives in Cartoon Network's Tenkai Knights and the next step for the animated action series is the video game realm, with Bandai Namco's Tenkai Knights: Brave Battle.

Brave Battle is a 2D robot combat game that follows the ongoing Tenkai Knights storyline, in which four young heroes named Guren, Ceylan, Toxsa, and Chooki (Yes, those are really their names) defend the planet Quarton from the evil Villus, who seeks to pillage the planet of its Tenkai Energy. Up to four players can play thorugh the game's mission-based Story mode against Villus' army of shape-shifting robots or face off in competitive multiplayer. The game will feature customizable robots, which can be modified to suit different fighting styles.

Tenkai Knights: Brave Battle is scheduled to hit 3DS this summer.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
